Foundation in Education & Design Experience

My journey started with a B.A. in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of North Texas, followed by over a decade career as an SLPA across various settings. In that time, I developed a deep commitment to supporting individuals with unique needs and saw how crucial accessible environments are for fostering independence and comfort.

Even before my career officially began, I found myself designing spaces for family, friends, and patients often. Then, as I continued in my therapist career, I witnessed the profound difference these functional designs could make in people’s lives. My patients began referring me to others for my design skills, and it hit me: I could combine my two passions—creating meaningful spaces and helping people live with greater ease and dignity.

Before long, I was reaching out to design and organizing firms, hoping to show them the potential they were overlooking. But when I realized that few were eager to embrace or support this specialty, I knew I had to take on the challenge myself. With a heart full of passion and a purpose-driven mission, I launched Sensory Style Co. to ensure everyone can enjoy a space that’s comfortable, accessible, and empowering.
